Hello

This Christmas eve my prayer is that you may know you are deeply beloved you are to Jesus.

Are you thirsty for His love?   Lets join our hearts with The Shulamite Women in these words from The Passion Translation of Song of Songs.

The Shulamite
Listen!  I hear my Lover’s voice.
I know its him coming to me–
Leaping with joy over mountains,
Skipping in love
Over the hills that separate us,
To come to me.
Now he comes closer,
Even to the plans where I hide.
Now he gazes into my soul,
Peering through the portal
As he blossoms within my heart.
The one I love calls to me:

I, Jesus, have sent My messenger to show you and guide you so that you in turn would share this testimony with the churches. I am the Root and the Descendant of David, the Bright Morning Star.
The Spirit and the Bride say “Come.”
And let everyone who hears these words say, “Come.”
And let those who thirst come.
All who desire to drink, let them take and drink freely from the water of life.  Rev 22:16
I stood watching the bride as she came to her groom.  The waiting was over.  The rising waters of longing and desire at last overflow in joy as joined with her groom they are united in marriage becoming one.  My tears of joy quietly flowed.
God has called us ‘The Bride of Christ, chosen us for His Son, our Bridegroom.  This Christmas Eve, our waiting almost over we begin to celebrate his coming.

Now hear your Bridegroom King –  excerpt from Song of Songs, Passion Translation

“Arise, my dearest.
Hurry my darling.
Coe along with me!
I have come as you have asked
To draw you to my heart and lead you out.
For now is the time, my beautiful one…

Arise my love, my beautiful companion,
And run with me to the higher place.
For now is the time to arise
And come away with me.”
And for me, I’m overwhelmed with thankfulness.
Thankful I’m chosen and beloved.
Thankful for His saving power and redeeming love.
Thankful, He made the way and brought me into His presence, into intimate relationship, One with Jesus.
Thankful to be loved just as I am not because of anything I’ve done, but because of what He has done for us.

Joyfully I come to Jesus.

Pat Barrett sings “This Love” from the Album Housefires II
His worship celebrates the great love of God and the desire of our hearts
“Oh just to know you.
To really taste and see.
To really walk with you.
Every moment of every day to walk with you
To be with you
To have my eyes open to see you
To have my heart open to know you

I would love to hear from you how you have found this advent journey, yet the most important thing is that you evaluate this journey for yourself.  Will you commit to set aside an hour of quiet in the midst of Christmas celebrations and journal your thoughts, feelings and responses to the journey we’ve made?

Advent Evaluation

Here are a few questions to help you consider and evaluate what it means to you.
What new aspects of God have touched your heart?
How has this time impacted your relationship with Jesus?  With Father?  With Holy Spirit?
What things will you take into 2018?
If there is one change you really want to see in your life next year, what is that?
What help or support do you need to see it happen?

Some Feedback for me.

As I continue to blog sharing my relationship with God, are there particular areas of what our relationship with God looks like that would be helpful for you?

If you would like to share anything with me, you can email me karenway64@gmail.com.

Thank You
