Reflections
Mindfulness today is recognised for its ability to preserve and restore mental health. This practice is named in the Bible as “Selah” a Hebrew word meaning to pause in His Presence and reflect.” Beauty in creation often draws us into such moments.
Through this ancient art we can experience stillness, silence, gratitude, curiosity, beauty, wonder and more. As we reflect, we become aware of ourselves, our thoughts and feelings. We reconnect with heart and soul. In the midst of life, we are invited into a rhythm to bring us back to stillness and receiving, where we can experience God whose Presence is a place to gain perspective, strength and peace even in the centre of a storm.
This space hosts some of my reflections, in particular a series I kept throughout Advent. It is my hope to add more, to share my own journey and encourage you in yours.
Surely God is my salvation
Hello, There are some moments in our lives we don’t have to remember because the experience was so powerful it is written on our hearts. Memories like this draw us instantly back into the moment even years later. A few days ago I talked about my journey with creativity and a particular moment in a counselling retreat…
Our gracious compassionate Father
Hello, For me the greatest privilege of knowing God is that He entrusts me – and you – to carry His heart! Its also a profound journey of encounter and transformation as I experience Him, his compassion and kindness and surrender myself that he might mould me in His Image! I’m deeply humbled to be…

Meditating on scripture creatively allows us to journey with Jesus as living word to a deeper heart…
Seeing the Vine
When we arrived to our new home in July the garden was in full bloom. One of its main features are 4 vines, carefully trained over an arbour like trellis. Vigorous green stems formed a shady roof and in-between them streams of light and warmth created a cosy space. We ate breakfast there on many…
I sing for Joy at the work of His hands.
I Sing for Joy at the works of His hands. The journey of ‘Identity in Christ’ is exciting and often scary! In this blog post, I share what happened when Father God spoke to me about an area of my life that has been part of me and ‘my normal’ for over 50…
There is no chain ‘this love’ can’t break
When you are in a place of disappointment, loss, grief, turmoil of soul, what do you do? Where do you turn? Where do you run? Hannah presented herself before the Lord. I love this place! The Tabernacle of the Nations is a house of prayer in the heart of Amsterdam’s Red Light District. http://ywamamsterdam.com/en …
